Bothell Early Orthodontic Treatment
While it isn’t suitable for all patients, our Bothell Early Orthodontic treatment has many advantages. Treatment allows us to shape the development of the teeth and mouth, which lets us make significant alterations to tooth alignment that would be much more difficult in later years. Because the upper jaw has yet to solidify into a single bone during childhood, we can use a palatal expander to gently widen the upper jaw and make more room for teeth. This process would require extensive oral surgery in later adolescence or adulthood.
Bothell Dentistry’s Early Orthodontic Two Phases,
Our team at Bothell Orthodontics understands that the majority of oral issues can be prevented through early treatments. These issues are addressed and treated during the early childhood years before full development has occurred. With our two-phase orthodontic treatment plans, our orthodontists can evaluate your child’s oral condition and identify growth patterns that may cause future problems.
Two-phase orthodontic treatment is a specialized process combining tooth straightening and physical facial changes. Two-phase treatment aims to maximize the opportunity to accomplish an ideal, healthy, functioning, and aesthetic result that will remain stable throughout your child’s life. Typically, this treatment plan is available to younger children to help prevent more intense and complex treatment later.
Phase one,
Phase One treatment aims to help the jaw develop in a way that will accommodate all of the permanent teeth and improve the way the upper and lower jaws fit together. Often we can find and treat a jaw discrepancy at a young age and thus prevent the need for a future, more invasive treatment plan.
After the first phase of treatment, there is a resting period where any remaining permanent teeth can erupt undisturbed, and our orthodontists will continue to monitor your child’s growth.
Phase two,
During the second phase of treatment, we focus on ensuring that each tooth remains in its proper position and that everything aligns correctly. This phase often includes braces or Invisalign.
After reviewing the results of the initial X-rays and photos, our highly trained and skilled orthodontist, assisted by our treatment coordinator, will explain your dental malocclusion, collaborate as an orthodontics “team” to determine the best treatment plan and options for your specific situation then review it in full detail with you. Our treatment coordinator will also discuss your insurance benefits and present you with an estimate of costs.
Although every orthodontics case is different, we’re proud of our ability to provide affordable, high-quality care to all our patients, and we offer financing almost anyone can afford.
Depending on your insurance, your out-of-pocket expenses maybe even less. Our basic braces treatment cost does not include tax or special appliances. There may be additional charges in cases requiring surgery or other special circumstances.
Bothell’s early Orthodontic Treatment team understands the cost of orthodontic treatment is an important and necessary investment for many people. We invite you to call or visit our office to learn more about our two-phase orthodontic treatment plans and to schedule your consultation today.
